Who we are

Kōten Studio is the trade name of Altis Koten SRL, based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium (VAT BE 1037.896.832). For any question about your data, email us at hello@koten.studio.

What we collect

This is a brochure site. We do not use any advertising trackers and we do not set any marketing cookies.

• Aggregated visitor statistics. We count visits with our own tool, running on our own infrastructure in Europe, for our use alone. It sets no cookie and reads nothing from your device, which is why you are not shown a consent banner: there is nothing to accept. It records the page viewed, the site you came from (reduced to its domain name), the time spent on the page, how much of the page was read, your country, the type of browser and the type of device. Your IP address is used once, on our server, to work out that country and a fingerprint valid for one day. It is not stored in any table of our database, and a day's fingerprint cannot be recalculated the next day. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing whether this site is read, and you can object by writing to the address above.
• Messages you send us. If you use our contact form or the project brief, or email us, we receive the details you provide (your name and email address and, depending on the form, your phone number, your company name, your message and your answers to the project brief, such as budget, timeline and a description of your business) and keep them so we can reply and discuss a possible project. We send an acknowledgement to your email address. To limit abuse of the form, we also keep a hashed fingerprint of your IP address for a short time. We do not use these details for advertising and only share them with the providers that host this site and deliver our emails.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email hello@koten.studio and we will reply. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
