Why it exists
A loyalty card only works if the customer has it on them. A paper card gets lost, and asking someone to install an app for one shop is asking too much.
Everyone already carries a wallet on their phone, with their bank cards and their boarding passes in it. Fideloop puts the loyalty card there.
What we built
A card the customer adds to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap, with nothing to install.
On the shop's side, staff issue a card and add points from the counter, and the card on the customer's phone updates by itself. iPhone and Android are handled as one and the same job: neither is an afterthought.
How we worked
The two wallets do not work the same way, so the work went into hiding that difference: one card, one way to manage it, whichever phone the customer uses.
We started with what has to work perfectly before anything else: issuing the card, adding points and seeing them on the phone.
Where it stands
Fideloop has launched in the Benelux at fideloop.app, with a free plan and paid plans whose prices are published on the site. The product keeps evolving.
It is one of our own products, built and run in-house.
Built with
- Next.js
- Supabase
Fideloop is built with Next.js and Supabase, and lives on the web rather than in an app. The card itself sits in an app your customers already have, so the work is on the shop's side: issuing cards, updating the points, and doing it fast enough that the card is up to date by the time the customer looks at it.
